The Cable Modem project, formerly known as DOCSIS (Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification), has allowed high-speed modems to be certified for retail sale. As a result, you can purchase your own CableLabs®;-Certified modem from a local retailer and save $7 a month on your BELD Broadband Internet service.
BELD Broadband has no control over the engineering and manufacturing processes of any modem
manufacturer. Any modem you purchase is at your own risk, and any warranty you have is between
you the manufacturer.
