Important update for EV drivers with JuiceBox chargers

Important update for drivers with JuiceBox chargers

Thank you for your participation in the Bring Your Own Charger program. Just recently, Enel X Way (formerly eMotorwerks) announced it would be stopping all North American operations on October 11, 2024 – meaning that all residential JuiceBox EV chargers will no longer connect to the internet and Enel X apps will stop working.

Your participation in the Bring Your Own Charger program is not impacted. If you already schedule your off-peak charging through your vehicle or vehicle app or use another brand of charger such as ChargePoint or Tesla, then no action is needed.

If you use JuiceBox scheduling, then:

  • We recommend that you disable all charging schedules on your JuiceBox before Friday October 11. Based on current information, your charger will continue to function, but no JuiceBox settings will be able to be changed.
  • Disconnect your JuiceBox from your Wi-Fi network
  • Program your EV to schedule during off peak hours (9pm – 7am). Almost all EVs can be scheduled through the vehicle dashboard settings or vehicle app. This will ensure that you will continue to receive your Bring Your Own Charger monthly incentives.

If you need help switching your schedule, please reach out to us at  781.303.4994 or email us at ev@sagewell.com.

We are happy to assist.
